Some things exude elegance with minimal effort. That’s absolutely spot on, how the whole day was for Randi and John’s wedding. From the moment she stepped onto Calamigos Ranch, Randi was a dream bride – with a sparkle of almost-married excitement in her eyes, she was completely committed to enjoying the festivities of the day (and enjoy she did!). And John? Oh he’s just the type of groom who you want to be friends with; what more could you ask for?
Randi and John’s guests weren’t just casually snacking at cocktail hour – they were ALL about it. And who wouldn’t be, with this menu (and that was just to start with!):
Grilled Petite Lamb Chops with ribbons of red bell pepper basil pesto
Mini Martini Glasses with Wild Mushroom Risotto with Napoli Confit & Truffle Oil
Apple Wood Smoked Bacon Wrapped Diver Sea Scallops
Sesame Seared Ahi with wasabi aioli on a crispy wonton spoon
And since they knew their guests would be excited about the food (our favorite type of guests!), they added the Mediterranean Landscape as a stationary hor d’oeuvres display. Homemade hummus, fresh grilled veggies – yes please!
The lights, the trees, the Ferris wheel; this Malibu wedding was truly magical, and every little piece came together in perfect unison to celebrate our lovely couple.
And of course, if you needed Randi or John, you could find them on the dance floor…along with pretty much everyone else!
People almost didn’t even take a break from dancing for the desserts. Almost.
Thank you to the fantastic vendors who were spot on the entire day: Wendy Dahl for flawless coordination, Peter of Studio 205 for video, Jen of Jen K Floral Design for romantic flowers, and of course Ryan Weeger for photographing (and blogging!) about it all.
