We love how Lauren & Jon had their wedding reception on a bridge, since that is where they first met! When asked why they chose geometry for their wedding theme, Lauren responded, “to reflect structure and building for a strong future relationship.” Plus, all of these geometric designs by Melissa Licht & The Love Riot are chic and colorful, perfect for this modern theme captured by Steve Cowell Photography.
The Newport Beach Civic Center was opened in 2013 with breathtaking architecture and a sprawling landscape, this atypical event center was built to serve the community. The iconic steel and glass structure is punctuated by natural forms reminiscent of the center’s environment. The perfect modern space to showcase all the bright colors and geometric patterns in their wedding.
The facility includes a 2,200 square foot Community Room. This spacious area is perfect for meetings and receptions of up to 180 guests. The center maximizes use of natural day light with it’s enormous windows and offers flexibility with retractable walls that can open to the outside lawn. Rental of the Community Room includes kitchen facilities as well.
Outside, the Community Lawn allows for larger events such as ceremonies, concerts, and large receptions. This expanse comfortably hosts 1,200 people and is exclusively reserved for one event per day.
Pedestrian paths and bridges meander through the surrounding park. This newly built park was designed with interpretive trails, children’s play areas, and commanding views of the ocean.
