Through Gretchen & Cory’s wedding, you can see what is most important to them – their family. It’s truly beautiful how they incorporated all of their closest people into their special day. Gretchen’s father played the ceremony music, which included songs from their favorite movies (since they’re both in the industry). There were also many special moments throughout which were in honor of Gretchen’s mother, who passed away 1.5 years prior to the wedding. The cake was modeled after her favorite game, “Plants vs. Zombies.” Cory’s two little girls were also rocking pink highlights in their hair in honor of their grandmother who had passed from breast cancer. Gretchen says, “Besides marrying Cory, I was also marrying his two little girls. It was very important to us to incorporate the girls into the ceremony. I had vows especially for the girls and they each got a necklace with their names written on it with my pinkie print engraved on it.”
As far as the décor, they wanted to stay true to the rustic style of Franciscan Gardens, but also to incorporate bright and playful colors to go along with their “bubbly and colorful personalities.”
We really loved that every detail of this wedding meant something special to the couple. They had a romantic, intimate wedding and we were so glad to be apart of it all!
p.s. – Be sure to read their “Save The Date” card for their love story!
