Currently in America, 5% of the population adheres to a vegetarian lifestyle and of that, 2.5% are vegan. A vegan, or strict vegetarian, has a diet that excludes the use of not only meat but all animal products including eggs, dairy, beeswax and honey. That number might not sound like a lot until you consider that 15,000,000 Americans do not eat meat! With vegan restaurants sprouting up all over Southern California, eating sans animals has never been easier and is gaining in popularity.

Manchego and Sundried Tomato Stuffed Artichoke

If you are vegetarian/vegan, or someone close to you is, you know how horrible the dreaded veggie meal can be at events and weddings. Of course at 24 carrots, we would never want any guest to have a dining experience that was anything less than fantastic. Seeing the demand, Chef Ashley has worked to put a brand new vegetarian menu together to accommodate our meatless friends. We were recently lucky enough to experience all the delicious new items and I’m excited that I can share some of my favorites with you. Our Wild Mushroom & Truffle Cappuccino and our Manchego & Sundried Tomato Stuffed Artichoke were two of my preferred tray passed hors d’oeuvres. For an entrée, Chef Ashley has created an amazing Stuffed Squash Blossom and a Ratatouille Neapolitan that is simply amazing. These menu items are so delicious that meat eaters and vegetarians alike are sure to love them!
